————– Yanusz Gilewicz internationally recognized artist participated with creative process since his childhood learning from his grandfather painter, classical technics. His early fascination with Leonardo da Vinci work turned into long lasting passion.
Studying secrets of Leonardo work he became an epigone of Renaissance technics adapting them into his work.
Gilewicz constantly experiments breaking a boundaries in contemporary art.
On the span of five decades, he constantly expends his classical education and invents new ways of expressions not only on canvass but on alternative surfaces such as leather, leather garment, bird feathers, concret, ceramic, glass, styrofoam etc.
His “Living Hologram”, 3D painted walkable floors, murals, kinetic sculptures/paintings hand painted leather jackets and “rescue paintings” are signs of his artistic growth. He designed and co-create with hundreds of volunteers world largest 3D mural in Manhattan NY.
Coping with different materials and technics his work emanates patience, discipline and passion. These attributes made his creative process meditative at the same time full of New York energy and freedom of expression. He is a true living artist.

He is not only sharing art with the viewers but invites other artist to collaborate in creative process (Bret Roberts, Joey Baby, Madir Eugster, Witold Gilewicz his brother and others). He also incorporates into his portfolio art created by anonymous painters who lost their way and abandon their work on the streets of NY which Janusz collects and repaints leaving traces of their work. Currently travels the world with his partner in art Bret Roberts organizing galvanizing community multimedia events combining art, music, life performance, theatre, dance where participants become co creators.
Yanusz is available for painting commissions, murals , leather/fabric hand painted garments and as an art consultant for any visual solution: interiors, commercial and personal logos, antique restorations, fashion designs, color consultant.
